Film school alumni should get a big kick out Air’s new project. The French electronic duo will release a full album based on their recent endeavor scoring the famed silent film, A Trip To the Moon (Le Voyage Dans La Lune). Despite being perhaps the first sci-fi film ever made, created in 1902, A Trip to the Moon incorporated some pretty amazing special effects (as seen here). Prior to this project, Smashing Pumpkins laid claim to the best known musical association to the film with their video for Tonight, Tonight, but by the looks and sound of it, Air may just top that effort.
