Video: Nada Surf – When I Was Young

Despite being written off as a one-hit wonder in the late-’90s, Nada Surf have quietly been putting out a steady stream of fantastic studio albums full of their brand of instantly catchy indie-pop songs that deserve your attention. Late last month the Brooklyn-based band released their full length release The Stars Are Indifferent To Astronomy, and their first of original material since 2008’s Lucky, that once again shows off their knack for soundtrack-y tunes that you somehow are singing along to barely after a first listen. Earlier this week Nada Surf released the music video for the record’s first single – When I Was Young – which follows the storyline of a boy having free reign in New York City as he’s shut out of his school for the day. Nada Surf kicks off of their lengthy world tour on February 7 at King Tuts in Glasgow, Scotland, with the U.S. leg beginning on March 20 for a show at the Music Box in Hollywood, Calif.
