It was a clear night, still a dose of summer heat in the sky and the people came strolling into Tempe’s Marque Theatre to see Michael Franti and Spearhead perform. All ages from teenagers to middle-agers, allthere with one thing in common….to feel the love. That was the vibe the entire night. Dancing, playful, intoxicated….happy people.
While the stream of new vinyl continues to find space in the better record stores, a lot of stuff, both mainstream and underground, is once again easy to find (though I seem to have missed the boat on the last Dead Weather album at my local shop). However, there is also quite a bit of very nice vinyl that may not find its way to every shop.

The action started earlier today when Prince invited all of his fans to come to the Apollo Theater in Harlem for a press conference at 6PM this evening. When journalists and fans arrived they were greeted by a huge poster that said “Welcome 2 America” and featured Prince.
