75 Years Ago Today – The Late Lowell George Was Born (Watch “Tripe Face Boogie” Live)

75 years ago today (4/13/45) the late Lowell George was born. George joined Zappa’s Mothers of Invention as a rhythm guitarist in 1968, played guitar on John Cale’s 1973 album Paris 1919, Harry Nilsson’s Son of Schmilsson album and Jackson Browne’s The Pretender. Little Feat, however, was the pinnacle for George as his work with the band made em the premiere rock boogie ensemble and helped helm one of rock’s most underrated catalogs.
