While home to a number of music and film festivals, (including SXSW which is right around the corner), the Moontower Comedy Festival highlights the best voices in standup comedy today. Taking place mostly in the downtown Austin area, comedians, performers, and podcasters elate audiences with their signature brand of humor. It’s a veritable feast for the funny bone, and one of the best festivals operating today.
The big headliners for the Paramount Theatre were just announced, which now includes The Comedy Resistance starring David Cross and special guests, Tig Notaro, Jo Koy. They will join rising star Tiffany Haddish, the musical stylings of “Weird Al” Yankovic, and filmmaker/comedian Mike Birbiglia.
Next door at the Stateside also added Nikki Glaser, Ali Siddiq, Shmanners podcast with Travis & Teresa McElroy, alongside the previously announced Ryan Hamilton, Preacher Lawson and SNL alums Janeane Garofalo and Colin Quinn.
