Pullin’ ‘Tubes: Bonnaroo Edition

In addition to our intrepid reporter’s real-time efforts to keep you vicariously updated from afar, we’ve combed over the ol’ YouTube Device to provide youse with some actual video from the 2007 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. There’s a growing mound of moving images and sound to devour, and a whole slew of shit follows after the jump. But first, there’s this item of business…

We’ve also stumbled upon a treasure trove of uploaded webcast captures, so if seven minutes of video doesn’t do it for you — and it rarely does — feel free to rifle through these links here to download the sets you’d like to see. Many thanks to PT’s Schwagg for putting this together: Wilco, Flaming Lips, The White Stripes, Widespread Panic, The Hold Steady, Brazilian Girls, Gillian Welch, The Roots, Wolfmother, Mago (w/ John Medeski & Billy Martin), Kings of Leon, Xavier Rudd, John Butler Trio, String Cheese Incident, RatDog (Part I, Part II), and Old Crow Medicine Show. Read on below for YouTubes…

Monday’s Hors d’Oeuvres & Weekend Setlists

Richard Lloyd announced in mid-May that this past Saturday’s Television show at Central Park’s SummerStage would be his last with the group. Tragedy struck Lloyd a few weeks later, though, when the guitarist entered an intensive care unit with a severe case of pneumonia. The SummerStage show went on without Lloyd, and our friend DaveO and others around the world wide netweb are raving about Television’s performance. We can only hope Richard Lloyd gets well soon and is able to join his band mates for a true going-away party.

Believe it or not, Bonnaroo wasn’t the only thing goin’ on this weekend:

  • Pearl Jam’s appearance at the Heineken Jammin’ Festival was cancelled after a cyclone crushed Venice on Friday
  • Warren Haynes and Ratdog provided the entertainment at an intimate HeadCount fundraiser
  • Anthony DeCurtis speaks with Ryan Adams about his new album
  • A Sonic Youth album for Starbucks?!?!?
  • Universal Music has found a Johnny Cash performance buried in their archives and are releasing it on July 24th
  • Tea Leaf Green has released their eighth podcast
  • Check out this Zappa bootleg from the glorious year of 1974
  • Andy Gadiel lists all the blogs covering Bonnaroo, including HT
  • Jefito presents another kickass mix
  • Mickey Hart announced dates for his Global Drum tour
  • ZZ Top, The Pretenders and The Stray Cats are team up for a tour
  • Concert promoters try to sidestep Ticketmaster’s excessive service fees
  • Neddy fills us in on the shows of the week

And as usual on Monday mornings, read on after the jump for the latest setlists from the weekend, including but not limited to the Black Crowes, Rush, the Flaming Lips, Ween, Widepread Panic, The Police and many more…
